Dr. Rosanne Brown:
Dr. Rosanne Brown is a 1984 graduate of Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She has been the owner and director of Rancho San Diego Animal Hospital since 1988. Dr. Brown’s special interests in veterinary medicine include nutrition, canine, feline and exotic animal medicine and surgery and wildlife medicine. She also has additional training in veterinary acupuncture and holistic medicine and fish medicine.
Dr. Brown has lectured for various special interest groups including San Diego Turtle and Tortoise Society, San Diego Koi Club, bird clubs and wildlife rehabilitators and to technicians and pre-vet students. In her personal time, Dr. Brown enjoys traveling and wine tasting with her husband and playing with her polydactyl cats, Tobey Toes and Toe Jam.
Dr. Josette Bevirt:
Dr. Josette Bevirt loves helping animals and their families. A 1997 graduate from Colorado State University, she enjoys practicing excellence in medicine and surgery for dogs, cats, and all of the exotic pets seen at RSDAH. Also trained in acupuncture and Reiki, Dr. Bevirt seeks excellent health for her patients.
Along with enjoying her cats, standard poodle, and tortoises, she loves outdoor activities including hiking, backpacking, kayaking and gardening. Photography, live music, theatre and the opera round out her interests. Panga, her rescued standard poodle, is often in the office. Dr. Bevirt encourages people to adopt adult animals as they quickly make great pets.
Dr. Janet Loken:
Dr. Janet Loken is a 1992 graduate of the University of California, Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. Her special interests in veterinary medicine include soft tissue and orthopedic surgery and exotic animal medicine and surgery. She also has training in animal chiropractics.
Dr. Loken’s personal interests include hang gliding, gardening, cast bronze sculpture and her menagerie of rescued pets that live with her and her husband.
